Iconic American brand PONY Footwear brought its loyal customers to Sin City, gathering rock fans and MMA enthusiasts in a Vegas-style event billed as “Rock N’ Rumble Year 2.”
Held at Elements @ Centris in Quezon City, Pony’s
near year-end blowout mixed elements the vibrant city is known for with the
brand’s own essence of uniqueness and individuality. Hosted by TV
personality Joyce Pring and DJ and event host Rico Robles, it was a
night of adult entertainment and rebel rock with sexy girls, a
Mixed Martial Arts competition, and performances from today’s hottest bands.
Far from the confines of small clubs, the Pony stage became the night's wicked playground for April Morning Skies, Save Me Hollywood,
Jejaview and Hilera. In between performances, hot ladies lent a hand to sexy
games participated in by select PONY customers.
Happening
on the octagon built for the event at the center of the venue, powerhouse MMA
stalwarts had three show-stopping fights that kept the attendees
enthralled. The first
match set the tone of excitement for the others where, after three breathtaking
rounds, Danny Kingad of Team Lakay beat Reymon Doliguez of Submission Sport
Philippines. The second fight brought two female fighters to the ring in a
seeming upset match where Jenjen Damaso of Team Cordillera Strikers nearly
pulled an MMA debut upset victory over Asian open Brazilian Jiujitsu gold
medalist, Geli Bulaong before the latter
ruthlessly pinned the newbie down, just as the third round ended, to win the
match.
The third match was even more intense, where Karan
Malli of Cavite Top Team put the pressure of opponent Reign Sotto of Submission
Sport Philippines until the latter also took back the power to sustain his
rule. The three-round match ended in a split decision with Sotto still reigning
supreme.
